Escola de Hospitalidade e Turismo was reestablished on
10th of November 2000 by the senior teachers that have become the
teachers during the Indonesia occupation. Currently the school has four
departments, such as; Hotel, Culinary, Beauty care and Dress Making
departments. The total numbers of students from first grade until third grade
are 277 students. The total numbers of human resources or teachers are 33 teachers;
compose of 23 permanents teachers and 10 temporary teachers.
The
curriculum that is being used by this school was adopted from Portugal due
modular system. In order to get familiar with the curriculum, the Ministry of
Education established a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry
Education of Portugal to provide training for the vocational teachers in the
areas of curriculum, teaching methodology, School administration, students
assessment, field training and PAP in 2012 during three months.

The teaching
and learning activities that normally running in this school divides into two
parts, namely; theories and practicum. For the theory is normally conducted in
the classroom and the practicum is conducted in the practicum room. On job
training is offered to the third grade students who have passed all modules in
the first and second grades in their respective areas. The duration of the on
job training is three months, and at the end of this activity the students have
to submit their on job training’s report before conduct their report exam. For
the third grade students, they have to attend National Exam and “Prova Aptidaun
Profissional” (PAP) before complete their study in this respective school.
In order to
strengthen the sustainability of the school, from the school side has
established some cooperation with the industries and International agencies,
such as; JICA, KOICA, Cristal Foundation, US Embassy and Japanese Embassy. From
the support of internal and external stakeholders the school will accelerate
its development and provide a good quality of vocational school in this
country.
